Paul J. Singerman is a founding shareholder in the Cleveland law firm of Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz Co., L.P.A., where he practices primarily in the areas of real estate law, secured lending, business law and creditor's rights. Prior to founding Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz, Mr. Singerman was a partner in the Cleveland office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP and Berick, Pearlman & Mills Co., L.P.A.

Mr. Singerman has extensive experience in documenting commercial loan transactions, real estate acquisition and development and general business law. He represents several financial institutions in the Cleveland, Ohio area in connection with the documentation and restructuring of commercial lending transactions. Mr. Singerman also represents residential and commercial developers in connection with all aspects of their real estate acquisitions and development. In his real estate practice, Mr. Singerman counsels developers and acquirers of low-income housing projects, assisting such clients with all aspects of their transactions, including low-income housing tax credit syndications, tax-exempt and taxable bond financing and HUD/FHA assisted financing.

Mr. Singerman is a member of the Cleveland (member, Corporation, Banking and Business Section and Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section), Ohio State and American (member, Business Law Section and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section) Bar Associations. Mr. Singerman has lectured before several groups on secured lending and real estate related matters.

Mr. Singerman was named an "Ohio Superlawyer" by Cincinnati Magazine in 2004-2008 and was named in The Best Lawyers in America for 2007-2009.

Mr. Singerman received his B.A. degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1980 and his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif in 1983.
