Troy R. Brown is a principal in the Cleveland law firm of Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz Co., L.P.A., where his practice focuses on the representation of clients involved in acquiring, developing, financing, building, leasing, and operating commercial real estate.  Mr. Brown was a partner in the Cleveland office of Thompson Hine, LLP prior to joining Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz.

Mr. Brown has extensive experience in the representation of shopping center developers, owners, and managers, as well as lenders and the retail occupants of shopping center properties throughout the United States.  He also regularly represents the various interests involved in local and regional office, industrial, and residential developments, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, land use regulation and permitting, and governmental assistance to development.

Mr. Brown is a member of the Cleveland (member, Real Estate Law Section), Ohio State (member, Real Estate and Corporate Counsel Sections), Wisconsin State and American (member, Business Law Section, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, and Construction Industry Forum) Bar Associations.  He also is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Urban Land Institute. Mr. Brown has been a speaker on commercial real estate subjects at the ICSC US Law Conference and its regional law symposium, as well as various bar associations.

Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Senior Honors in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, and a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin, School of Law.
