Recent Transactions

1. Represented a landlord client in a commercial lease dispute against a national publicly-traded corporation tenant.  After a complex commercial lease dispute, our litigator was the lead attorney who achieved a victory for the landlord in the trial court.  The matter was later appealed to the Court of Appeals and Ohio Supreme Court, which held in favor of the landlord, evicted the tenant and required strict adherence to the terms of the lease.
2. Represented a charity in defense of an ejectment action.  The court struck down the donor’s deed   restriction and reversionary clause and vested title in the charity, due to violation of the Ohio Marketable Title Act.  The grantor’s failure to preserve its  reversionary interest negated any interest in the property.
3. Represented several charities in a multi-million dollar fraud case.  As lead counsel, our litigator successfully led efforts in several states to find the defendants and recover the embezzled funds which had been hidden in a series of sham companies.
4. Represented a manufacturer in a breach of contract action against a publicly traded corporation involving new convection oven technology.
