
Matthew E. Parkins is an associate with the Cleveland law firm of Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz Co., L.P.A., where he practices in the area of litigation.
Mr. Parkins focuses his practice on commercial, contract, real estate, construction, surety and insurance and general litigation. Prior to joining this firm, he was an associate with a mid-size general practice firm, where he practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, construction disputes and surety and insurance litigation. Mr. Parkins has represented clients before various state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies. In his practice, he is experienced in representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has represented privately held companies from various business segments, including those in mortgage, real estate, banking, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, surety/insurance and retail sectors. In addition, Mr. Parkins has extensive experience in representing owners, contractors and sureties in handling the claims process, contractor defaults, tender/takeover agreements and other matters involved in both public and private bonded projects.
Mr. Parkins received a B.A. in History summa cum laude from Ohio University in 1996, and earned a J.D. magna cum laude from the Capital University Law School of Law in 2000.
